Red cloth, faded along the edges, with gilt lettering that has begun to lose its luster. Square with some reading wear on the binding and with hinges starting. Former owner's name in the gutter of the front endpaper. Frank Case was the manager of the Algonquin Hotel that served as the namesake for the Algonquin Roundtable, which consisted of Art Samuels, Harpo Marx, Charles MacArthur, Dorothy Parker, and Alexander Woollcott. This book comprises of stories from the hotel, ones told with "Mr. Case's distaste for realism." Very good / good. Item #1124
