Teal buckram, lightly rubbed at the edges, with silver gilt lettering on the spine. Square and firmly bound, clean internally. Stegner's third book, it is the story of a twenty year-old disillusioned war veteran who sets off to rejuvinate his life on the plains of Saskatchewan.
