Green leather with five raised bands and ornate gilt lettering and tooling by Hayday, rubbed at the surface, edges, and corners, bumped at the top-right corner on the back board. Square and firmly bound with gilt edges, former owner's bookplate inside the front board, some foxing to the preliminaries, clean otherwise. A selection of British ballads "that shall be agreeable and interesting to the general reader, and not unsatisfactory to the antiquary and the scholar." Very Good. Item #4618
