Nottingham: Henry B. Saxton, 1924. First Edition. Hardcover. Inscribed by Birkin on the front endpaper. Good, lacking the jacket. Quarter brown cloth, chipped at the foot, with blue paper on the boards and a rubbed pastedown on the spine. Square, bound with some reading wear, toned at the endpapers, clean otherwise. Birkin's first collection of poetry, one of which ("Romney Marsh") was collected into Ventures in Verse and praised by J.E.G. de Montmorency for its evocation of Coleridge. Vera Birkin was the younger sister of Freda Dudley Ward, one of King Edward VIII's mistresses. Good. Item #7047
